This Philips 3-in-1 Nutrition Centre is a steriliser, a bottle warmer and a food steamer all in one. It enables you to safely and quickly heat baby bottles and jars of baby food, to keep them warm, to disinfect baby bottles and small objects and to steam all kinds of vegetables and fruit. The unique design fits all baby bottles and jars of baby food, while the temperature control system ensures the highest safety standards. Philips Baby Care: taking care together important Read these instructions for use carefully before using the appliance and save them for future reference. , Check if the voltage that is indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance. , This appliance is suitable for mains voltages from 0 to 0 volts. , If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. , Do not expose the appliance to extreme heat or direct sunlight. , Never disassemble the base to avoid the risk of electric shock. , Never use the base without water in it. , Only use pure tap water without any additives. , Do not put bleach, descaling agents or other chemicals in the appliance. , Do not immerse the base, the mains cord or the mains plug in water or any other liquid. , Always let the appliance cool down before moving or storing it. , The appliance becomes extremely hot when it is in use and may cause burns if it is touched. Always lift the lid, the cap and the cover by their handle. , Beware of hot steam that comes out of the vent in the cover when the appliance is in use without the cap. Babies like their milk and food to be at a temperature of 37°C. The control knob enables you to set the correct food temperature. The setting depends on the amount, consistency and current temperature of the milk or food. Note:If all the water has evaporated before the heating process is completed, the 3-in-1 Nutrition Centre starts to beep and the indicator LED starts to blink red. (Fig. 5) , The indicator LED starts to burn red continuously and you hear a beep to indicate that the heating process has started. , The heating process takes about 5 minutes, depending on the quantity, type and temperature of the food. , When the food has reached the right temperature, you hear three beeps. The indicator LED blinks red three times and then turns green. Remove the cover from the base, remove the jar and unplug the appliance. Tip:To distribute the heat better, stir the contents of the jar after heating it. Note:Always check if the contents of the jar are at the correct temperature by testing some of the food on the back of your hand. keeping bottles and jars warm You can also use the 3-in-1 Nutrition Centre to keep bottles and jars warm for a short time. After the heating process is finished, simply leave the bottle or jar on the protective grid in the base and leave the cover on the base. The cover retains the heat and keeps the bottle or jar warm for some time. For microbiological and hygienic reasons, you must never keep baby food warm for more than one hour. Sterilising With the container, you can use the 3-in-1 Nutrition Centre to sterilise bottles and small objects like rubber teats and small toys. The Nutrition Centre disinfects the objects completely by destroying all harmful bacteria. Note:This appliance does not sterilise according to clinical standards. Note:Before you sterilise bottles and objects, clean them first. 1 Pour 50ml water into the water reservoir with the measuring cup. (Fig. 3) Place the container on the base. 3 Place the bottles upside down in the container. (Fig. 7) The container can contain four wide-neck bottles or six regular-sized bottles. Snap the bottle necks onto the projections at the bottom of the container. 5 Place small objects in the basket and place the basket in the container. Place the lid on the container. (Fig. 8) 6 Press and turn the control knob to /. (Fig. 5) , The indicator LED starts to burn red continuously and you hear a beep to indicate that the sterilising process has started. , After about 15 minutes, you hear three beeps. Certain vegetables and fruit are perfect for babies aged 4 months or older if they are gently steamed. Steaming is the most healthy way of preparing food. It preserves lots of vitamins and other healthy nutrients. The 3-in-1 Nutrition Centre steams 50g to 150g of hard or soft vegetables and fruit. The time that is needed to steam the food depends on the quantity, type and temperature of the food. 1 Pour 00ml water into the water reservoir with the measuring cup. (Fig. 3) Cut the vegetables or fruit into small pieces and place them in the steaming bowl. Place the steaming bowl on the base and put the cover on the steaming bowl. (Fig. 9) 3 Press and turn the control knob to the desired steaming time: 15, 0, 5 or 30 minutes. (Fig. 5) , The indicator LED blinks red and you hear a beep to indicate that the steaming process has started. , When the set steaming time has elapsed, you hear three beeps. The indicator LED blinks green. , Remove the cover from the steaming bowl and check the food. , If it is not properly steamed, check if there is still enough water in the base. If not, add more water. Then select a new steaming time to switch on the appliance again. When the food is ready, take the steaming bowl off the base and unplug the appliance. Defrosting 1 Pour 00ml water into the water reservoir with the measuring cup. (Fig. 3) Put the frozen food in the steaming bowl and place the cover on the steaming bowl. (Fig. 10) 3 Press and turn the control knob to the desired steaming time: 15, 0, 5 or 30 minutes. (Fig. 5) , The indicator LED blinks red and you hear a beep to indicate that the steaming process has started. , When the set steaming time has elapsed, you hear three beeps and the indicator LED blinks green. , Remove the cover and check whether the food is defrosted. , If it is not, check if there is still enough water in the base. If not, add more water. Then select a new steaming time to switch on the appliance again. When the food is defrosted, remove the cover from the steaming bowl, take the steaming bowl off the base, and unplug the appliance. Cleaning Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents (e.g. bleach) to clean this appliance. Note:All parts of the 3-in-1 Nutrition Centre except the base are dishwasher-proof. 1 Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down before you clean it. Clean the base with a moist cloth. 3 Clean the other parts in the dishwasher or in hot water with some washing-up liquid. Descaling Descale the base, the container and the steaming bowl when scale becomes visible.
